Call Flow of an Example Application

A key part of building a speech recognition solution is properly planning out the flow, or Voice User Interface (VUI) design of the application. Because speech applications have more variables to consider than DTMF (Touch Tone) applications, it is important to have a proper, well thought out design before software development begins.

To help you get started, here is an example call flow of a fairly complex application. This application has multiple components, including a call router, a dial–by–voice contact list, speech–enabled voicemail, and speech–enabled email.
