Speech Engine

Latest Release

The LumenVox Speech Engine is one of the world's leading speech recognition solutions, and is better than ever in version 9.5.

In this latest release, the Speech Engine provides more reliable confidence scores, a new logging and notification system, and more.

Improved Logging

A new centralized logging system can automatically send e-mail messages to you if critical errors occur. This lets you respond immediately to any serious problems in your production systems, maintaining high availability and uptimes.

Better Accuracy

New acoustic models for U.K. English, Australian English, Mexican Spanish, South American Spanish, and Canadian French all provide improved accuracy for these languages and dialects. These were all built with the new technology used for our American English model that was introduced in version 9.0.

Answering Machine

Detection Module

If you make outbound calls and need to detect answering machines, LumenVox has a new module compatible with 9.5 that recognizes answering machine and voicemail tones with a high degree of accuracy. Contact LumenVox for more information.

To upgrade your systems to Version 9.5 or
to get more information, contact LumenVox at
1-877-977-0707 or email technical support. Upgrading to 9.5 is free
for all users with current software maintenance. To renew expired software maintenance, you can either use our self-service customer Web site or contact our sales department at 1-877-977-0707, just say "sales".

A confidence score is a number between 0 and 1000 that indicates how confident the Speech Engine is that a result is correct. The graphs below show how LumenVox 9.0 compares to the new 9.5 confidence scoring algorithms, and how both compare to a leading competitor's product.

Ideally, correct answers (shown as green) will have high confidence scores and incorrect (orange) or out of vocabulary (blue) answers will have low. In the graphs below, the optimal pattern is a U-shape, with all of the incorrect/OOV answers on the left and all of the correct answers on the right.
