LumenVox Speech Engine Now Rated
"Avaya Compliant"

Accurate and affordable speech recognition is now compatible with Avaya Interactive Response and Voice Portal

San Diego, CA (MAR 11, 2008) — LumenVox, an innovator of speech recognition software, today announced that its Speech Engine is compliant with Interactive Response (IR) and Voice Portal solutions from Avaya, a leading global provider of business communications applications, systems and services.

LumenVox speech recognition enables application providers to offer accurate and affordable speech–based solutions on Avaya platforms. The Speech Engine is now compliance–tested by Avaya for compatibility with: Avaya Communication Manager 4.0 with Portal 4.0 and IR 3.0.

"Avaya compliance is an important milestone for LumenVox," said Edward Miller, president of LumenVox. "Our membership in the Avaya DevConnect program reflects our drive to provide speech to all businesses who expect accurate technology, an attractive licensing program, and excellent client services. Through our standards–based technology, LumenVox can now become a preferred speech technology provider for Avaya customer care solution providers."

The LumenVox Speech Engine is automatic speech recognition technology designed for telephony applications and comes included with support for several languages, including American, Australian/New Zealand and UK English, varieties of Spanish and Canadian French.

LumenVox is a member of the Avaya DevConnect program — an initiative to develop, market and sell innovative third–party products that interoperate with Avaya technology and extend the value of a company's investment in its network. As a Gold member of the program, LumenVox is eligible to submit products for compatibility testing by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab in Lincroft, N.J. Avaya engineers develop a comprehensive test plan for each technology to verify whether it is Avaya compliant.

"By offering compliance testing to the many innovative companies like LumenVox who are members of our DevConnect program, Avaya promotes fully interoperable solutions that help businesses unleash powerful new possibilities," said Eric Rossman, vice president, developer relations and technical alliances, Avaya. "They are able to use Intelligent Communications to connect employees and customers to information from wherever they are, over whatever device they have available — getting more out of their multi–vendor network and delivering new value to their bottom line."
