High–performance Speech Recognition Combines With an Affordable VXML IVR Platform

San Diego, CA and Southborough, MA (MAY 2, 2006) — LumenVox, an innovator of speech recognition technology, and Innovative Engineering Concepts (IEC), a provider of software–based telephony solutions, announced today that IEC has fully integrated the LumenVox Speech Engine into their Speech Services Platform (SSP).

The LumenVox Speech Engine provides developers with a robust development and run-time environment that includes MRCP and Linux support. By incorporating the Linux Speech Engine into their existing Platform, IEC can cost–effectively deploy speech recognition capabilities with highly accurate performance results. "High prices of speech recognition technology have been, to some extent, hindering widespread speech adoption. LumenVox addresses this issue by combining high performance and accuracy with an attractive pricing model. It was a natural choice for us to integrate the LumenVox Speech Engine since our companies share the same vision and focus on the delivery of affordable solutions to the speech market." said David Lief, President and CEO of IEC.

"Full integration with VXML platforms is critical to LumenVox's success, as they represent a key component of the speech industry ecosystem. We are very pleased, then, that IEC's SSP, a reliable and industry–recognized platform, can now utilize LumenVox's speech technology," said Ed Miller, president of LumenVox.
