Artisoft and LumenVox Partner for Sophisticated Speech Recognition Solution

Integration of TeleVantage with Speech Driven Assistant delivers cost-effective, comprehensive hands–free solution

Cambridge, MA and San Diego, CA (JULY 26, 2004) — Artisoft®, Inc. (OTC: ASFT), a leading provider of open systems IP–PBX and call center products, and LumenVox LLC, developer of speech–enabled toolkits and applications, today announced the availability of a speech recognition solution designed for TeleVantage®, Artisoft's open–systems IP–PBX. This strategic relationship, formed under Artisoft's Open Communication Alliance, empowers both companies to actively promote the solution to their respective channels.

The Speech Driven Assistant integrates seamlessly with TeleVantage to speech enable a company's name directory, allowing all internal and external callers to have hands–free interactions with an organization. The Assistant also allows for alternate names, nicknames, and various spelling and pronunciations to be recognized in a TeleVantage name directory. In addition, this joint solution enables users to retrieve and listen to e–mail, navigate voice mail, and access IVR applications, which improves productivity as well as alleviates safety concerns related to using a keypad while driving.

"LumenVox's Speech Driven Assistant has provided the best integration to TeleVantage of any other speech recognition product we tested," stated John Gagliardi, President of GTI Solutions Inc., an Elite TeleVantage Reseller. "We installed it in 15 minutes and it seamlessly integrated with our existing TeleVantage setup."

"The Speech Assistant provides our customers with an affordable, comprehensive tool to quickly connect to the right person or information without needing to know how to spell a name or take their eyes of the road," said Rob Black, Product Marketing Manager of Artisoft. "We are delighted that an industry leader like LumenVox has met the market demand with a product specialized for our TeleVantage platform."

TeleVantage is an open systems IP–PBX that delivers unprecedented communications capabilities to medium–size businesses, branch offices and call centers.
