LumenVox Announces The Speech Tuner at SpeechTEK 2003

San Diego, CA (SEPT 24, 2003) — LumenVox will be announcing their latest speech recognition product, the Speech Tuner, at SpeechTEK 2003, in New York City from September 30th through October 2nd. LumenVox will be demonstrating the Tuner in Booth 217 during the two–day exposition, being held at the New York Marriott Marquis.

The Speech Tuner is a complete maintenance tool that allows companies to perform tuning, and testing of any speech recognition application created on the LumenVox platform. Currently, companies must send their log files to a speech provider and then wait weeks for the results of the tuning to be sent back. With this new GUI–based tool, companies can bring this side of speech recognition in–house and avoid extensive professional service fees from the speech provider. They gain easy access to their own data, and can benchmark their own systems independent of any outside requirements, while at the same time providing callers with a high quality, consistent speech application.

Companies will be able to evaluate and improve the speech recognition application by analyzing each stage in the call process, transcribe the audio data from all callers, test each stage in the call process, and then make pin-point adjustments and immediately measure the effects of changes on performance.

Keith Herold, Lead Speech Recognition Developer at LumenVox states, "The introduction of the Speech Tuner is a coup for LumenVox. The Tuner is a crucial piece in our effort to provide all the necessary tools for effective speech application development to our customers."
